The Curiosity Club encourages children to look at the world with wonder, ask questions and discover interesting facts about things around them.
This month, the children of Senior Trails explored fascinating topics such as Why do bats hang upside down?
Are you the same height all day long?
They learnt about the unique habits of bats and discovered how our height can change slightly from morning to evening. These discussions encouraged them to think about the human body and the interesting ways in which animals adapt to their surroundings. The children also explored the meanings of everyday symbols – The Recycle symbol and The Arrival and Departures symbol at the airport. They understood how recycling helps reduce waste and protect our environment, while airport signs guide travellers and help them find their way. They learnt Why the camel has a hump? and the symbol of the hospital. Through engaging conversations, visual aids and shared experiences, the children were encouraged to observe, make connections and express their ideas. Each topic brought new learning opportunities, making curiosity an exciting part of their everyday discoveries.
