13th March, 2020 was a big day for the students of Standard 4 as they geared up for their Graduation ceremony – from Primary to Secondary section at AVM Juhu. The academic year 2019 – 20 draws to a conclusion and the students are filled with mixed emotions. They are excited about the new class, new books and new teachers, at the same time their hearts are heavy with emotion as it will also mean parting from their year-long classmates and teachers.
For the graduation ceremony, the students of Standard 4 donned their graduation caps and gowns and proudly marched to Yoga Hall for the ceremony. Mrs DamanjitKaur Sabherwal, Principal congratulated the excited bunch of ‘graduating’ students.
The ceremony commenced with new students recounting their AVM experience and then Standard 3 took over the reins as the hosts of the show and entertained the gathering with
‘I love my school’ dance, group song – ‘Best friends Forever’, catchy ‘AVM Juhu’ rap number, robust Punjabi dance – ‘Rooh Punjab Di’ and a farewell poem in the Yoga Hall. They were guided by their respective class teachers and their Hindi Teacher, Ms. Deepa Jha.
Principal, Ms.DamanjitKaur Sabherwal attended the programme along with the Primary Subject Head, Ms. Namrata Daswani.
Class teachers of 4th standard, Ms Priti Parekh, Ms Priyanka Sharma and Ms Prachi Madnani bid farewell to another batch of talented lot of youngsters raring to go. They also posed for some keepsakes with their students. They were gifted saplings in clay pots by the hosting students.
All the students of the Primary Section were delighted to receive Soft-Skill certificates at the hands of Sports masters – Mr.Surendra Yadav, Mr. Desmond D’souza and Music teacher, Ms.Surabhi Gupta.
The in-charges of the Graduation Day were Ms. VijeytaTrikha and Ms.Sunita Arurkar while the Soft Skill in-charges were Ms.Deepa Jha and Ms.Afrin Mullan under the guidance of Primary Subject Head- Ms. Namrata Daswani.
