As part of its commitment to experiential learning, V.C.W. Arya Vidya Mandir, Bandra East organised Exploring Reality 2026 for the students of Std. IX from 28th to 30th September 2026.
The initiative was designed to take students beyond the classroom and provide them with first-hand exposure to diverse professions, organisations and real-world work environments. It encouraged students to observe, interact, ask questions and connect their classroom learning with practical experiences.
Students were divided into groups and visited different organisations over the first two days. The organisations represented a wide range of fields:
These visits introduced students to areas such as fitness, healthcare, wellness, education, fashion, technology, entrepreneurship and finance. Interacting with professionals helped students understand different careers, the skills required in various fields and the functioning of organisations in the real world.
On 30th September, all students visited the National Stock Exchange (NSE), BKC, along with students of ISC Std. XI, for an engaging session on financial literacy and financial markets.
The session provided students with valuable insights into the world of finance.
Mr. Soham Raut was particularly appreciated for explaining complex concepts in a simple, clear and student-friendly manner. The programme was efficiently coordinated by Ms. Shruti Tayal, whose meticulous planning ensured a smooth and enriching experience.
The students also appreciated the thoughtful gesture of refreshments and gift hampers provided by the NSE.
Exploring Reality 2026 was a meaningful and enriching learning experience for the students. The three-day programme enabled them to step beyond textbooks, explore diverse fields and gain a better understanding of the world of work.
The school places on record its sincere gratitude to Mrs. Jyoti Kumar, Director, AVM Group of Schools, whose vision and initiative led to the inception of Exploring Reality five years ago. Her foresight in creating a platform that allows students to step into the real world, interact with professionals and experience diverse fields has made this initiative a valuable and much-anticipated part of the students’ learning journey.
The school sincerely thanks all the organisations, professionals and resource persons who generously shared their time and expertise. Their support made the initiative memorable and helped students develop greater curiosity, awareness and confidence about the possibilities that lie ahead.
The programme truly reflected the spirit of learning beyond the classroom and exploring reality through experience.
