The AVM Group of Schools participated in an insightful two-hour hybrid Geography Workshop conducted on 5th August 2026 by Dr. Dyaneshwer Bombe, INCA Life Member, Head of the Department of Geography at Sathaye College, Mumbai, and a specialist in GIS, Topographical Sheets and Satellite Image Analysis. The session was hosted by AVM Bandra West, with enthusiastic participation from students of AVM Bandra East.

The workshop focused on map reading, topographical interpretation, satellite imagery and geographical analysis, providing students with valuable exposure to geographical tools and techniques. The session also served as meaningful preparation for the upcoming INCA Geography Quiz.

Through engaging explanations and expert insights, students were encouraged to view maps and satellite images as tools for understanding patterns, places and the world around them. The workshop fostered observation, critical interpretation, questioning and a deeper appreciation for Geography and Cartography.

The enriching experience took Geography beyond the conventional classroom, inspiring students to explore the subject through a more analytical and experiential lens.
