“Every mighty tree begins as a tiny seed, and every extraordinary journey begins with a little dream.”

The much-awaited Playtrails event of the C and D divions, Threads of Harmony, themed Seeds of Greatness, was held on 10th October 2026. It celebrated the boundless potential of childhood, providing our little learners with a vibrant platform to showcase their talents, build confidence and experience the joy of performing together.

Inspired by the thought that every mighty tree begins as a tiny seed, the programme conveyed that greatness begins with a little dream, a curious question, the courage to try and the determination to persevere.

The morning commenced with Havan and the chanting of mantras, invoking the Lord’s blessings and setting a positive tone for the event. Children celebrating their birthdays that month received blessings from the Members of Management, our Principal, Mrs. Shobha Iyer, and our Vice Principal, Mrs. Lakshmi Sengupta.

The programme unfolded as a magical journey through the Carousel of Time, guided by the 

Keeper of Time and familiar storybook characters. Through an engaging theatrical presentation interspersed with lively songs and energetic dances, our young performers brought to life the childhood journeys of inspiring personalities such as Rahul Bavaji, Ritu Karidhal, Sudarsan Pattnaik, Vinod Dham, Harekala Hajabba and P. R. Sreejesh.

Each story celebrated a unique quality—from compassion for nature and scientific curiosity to creativity, innovation, the power of education and resilience. The narratives also incorporated the values of the Arya Samaj Niyams, inspiring children to embrace knowledge, uphold strong values and contribute to the greater good.

Vibrant costumes, imaginative stage settings, captivating music and enthusiastic performances brought the theme alive, showcasing our little stars’ confidence, creativity and teamwork.The event was further enriched by the insightful addresses of our school leaders, who shared meaningful reflections on childhood, education and the values that shape young minds.

Our Principal, Mrs. Shobha Iyer, addressed the parents with a heartfelt message on nurturing children through the four pillars of honesty, contentment, hard work and gratitude. She emphasised the importance of laying strong foundations during the formative years, helping children grow into individuals who are not only capable and confident but also grounded in values.

Mr. Sabharwalji appreciated and applauded the efforts of the Playtrails team, acknowledging the dedication and commitment that went into bringing the event to life. He shared a touching reflection on the deep bond teachers develop with their students, observing that teachers often regard every child in their class as their own. With such affection and responsibility, a teacher does not see a class as a group of forty children but embraces each one as a part of their extended family. His message beautifully recognised the care, ownership and wholehearted commitment that teachers bring to their profession.

Mrs. Rounaq Roy also addressed the gathering, highlighting the uniqueness of every child and reminding parents that each learner possesses individual strengths, interests and abilities. She appreciated the thoughtful pedagogy and meticulous planning undertaken by the teachers, acknowledging the educational vision, creativity and collaborative effort behind the programme. Her words reinforced the importance of recognising each child’s individuality and providing opportunities for every learner to flourish in their own way.

The event concluded with the vote of thanks, bringing together a celebration of talent, teamwork and the collective efforts of the school community. The dedication of the Playtrails team, the enthusiastic participation of the students, the support of the parent volunteers and the valuable contribution of the Std. VII A student volunteers made the event a memorable success.

As the curtains drew to a close, the central message of Seeds of Greatness resonated with all: every child carries a seed of greatness within, ready to blossom with the right values, encouragement, knowledge and opportunities. With honesty, contentment, hard work and gratitude as guiding principles, and with teachers and parents nurturing each child’s unique potential, these little seeds can grow into mighty trees that enrich the world around them.
