The much awaited Annual Sports Day of the Pre-primary section was held on 11th December 2018 with ardour and excitement. The fantastic turnoutfrom the
parents and the pleasant weather were the perfect boost for the students.
The future manifests in our children’s imagination and perfected in the games they play which is very correctly quoted by Albert Einstein ‘Play is the highest form of research’. Therefore, playing while learning is a funtastic way of developing our children holistically. That was the theme this year, “FUNTASTIC” as our little ones showcased the wonderful and exciting camaraderie they share with their friends through our sports day.
The Chief Guest for the day, Master Pranav Kohli, a national level chess player and a student of Smt. RamdeviSobhraj Bajaj Arya Vidya Mandir, Juhu was present with his mother to encourage and inspire one and all. The programme started with the parade by children of pre-primary section who bravely marched out onto the sports arena, their heads held high with pride, and showed us the way how to learn while we play. The parade was followed by the Torch Run by the representatives of each class of the pre-primary section and handed over to the chief guest who placed it in the stand and declared the Sports Meet open.
The students entered into the spirit of the occasion in a grand way with the fun races. The air was filled with cheering and tons of encouragement for the young athletes. The fun races showcased the agility of the children and creativity of the teachers as it varied from Santa’s surprise to beach run and tunnel tracking to feeding the monster by the playschool children.
The Prep I children started as traffic stoppers for the tricyclers and went on to show their talent as ringmasters, the winie triangles, rectangular rails and square frames. They also showcased their skills and energy as firefighters and manifested the Swacch Bharat Abhyan in their own little way.
This was followed by our senior most section of the Pre-primary, that is the prep II children showcasing their dynamism and enthusiasm by creating their rainbows, solar system and emotions. This was followed by relay races by the spartan athletes overcoming all obstacles and hurdles coming their way.
Dr M. K. Sabharwalji, President of Arya Vidya Mandir Society appreciated the values associated with each race taught in a fun way thus living up to its aptly titled theme. This is the essence of The AVM Group of Schools. The peppy music which filled the air added to the zing and was well appreciated.
Book prizes were handed over to the class representatives for every child as a token of appreciation for their participation in the Sports Day. Our young and spirited chief guest shared his experience and journey in the world of sport which inspired and motivated our young children.
