“If you fall behind, run faster. Never give up, never surrender, and rise up against the odds.” Jesse Jackson. The above quote truly exemplifies our Football Coordinator, Miss Anagha Jankiraman of Std X C. Just a few weeks ago she had undergone Appendix Surgery and was advised complete bed rest for three weeks.

Despite this setback, her passion and love for the Game of Football drove her to the prestigious ‘Khelo India Youth Nationals Games – 2019’,  selections trials which were held on 19th December, 2018 at Pune.

Twenty six players who had represented Junior Nationals (AIFF), Indian Women’s League (IWL) and School Nationals (SGFI)  were called for the  selection trials. Only Eighteen players were selected to represent team Maharashtra.

Anagha is the first footballer of AVM Juhu who has represented Maharashtra at all the three Nationals viz. Junior Girls National, All India Football Federation Nationals and now Khelo India. She has also played for the Indian Women League.
Ms. Arushi Dayal of Std X A has been selected as a standby for the above mentioned games.
